Cheryl Bane, Practice Manager
Cheryl joined the wonderful team at CAH in Sept. 2014, part time as the Human Resources/Public Relations Administrator and has since moved up with great pride, accepting her current position as the Practice Manager. Previous to CAH, Cheryl worked as the HR Director for more than 14 years at a Long Term Care Facility in the area. Her previous experience in HR/PR, Office Management and strategic planning gives her the eloquent ability to successfully problem-solve and communicate with our doctors, technical staff and clients. Cheryl has two sons and has in the past had 2 dogs and 3 cats as best friends. She is currently searching for her next best friend, a small female puppy. In her spare time Cheryl enjoys reading, family time, being the team mom for her sons’ basketball and football teams and anything to do with warm, sunny weather and the beach.
Yvette James, Receptionist / Veterinary Technician
Yvette has given our clients and their pets more than 28 years of dedicated service and patient care throughout our hospital. She and her husband have 2 sons (now in college), and their extended family includes 2 dogs and 2 cats – all adopted. Yvette enjoys reading, watching sports (especially Formula 1 and NFL football) and taking her dogs on walks.
Pam Konakowitz, Floor Supervisor
A former veterinary practice manager, Pam offers CAH clients and patients over 23 years of experience in quality pet care. Pam is a loyal General Hospital fan, devoted aunt, and loving mother to many household pets.
Diane Tinker-Knapp, Senior Veterinary Technician
A true animal lover, Diane offers over 15 years of animal care experience, including companion animals and exotics. Diane has achieved specialized training in surgical assistance, dentistry, CPR, emergency medicine and pain management for pets.
Tabetha Hatcher, Senior Veterinary Technician
Tab’s commitment to animal care began more than 15 years ago as a kennel attendant at CAH. She has received specialized training in surgical assistance, dentistry, emergency medicine and client education.
Nicole Jordan, Veterinary/Inventory Technician
Nicole is currently working towards her certification as a veterinary technician. Her love of animals runs very deep, having ferrets, cats, dogs and fish at home. She also has experience with degus, rats, mice, spiny mice, snakes, hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs. Always wearing a smile, Nicole brings a warm welcoming face to CAH.
Faun Tabor, Veterinary Technician / Receptionist
Faun has been a member of our team for approximately 10 years, working as both a receptionist and technician. She is a loving mother of 2 daughters, and a spunky boxer named Darla.
Kimberly Blonar, Kennel Attendant
Kim is a college graduate with a degree in animal science from the University of Rhode Island. She has experience with a range of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, farm animals and aquatic animals. She even worked with animals in Thailand. Kim has always had great passion for animals. Her dog, Mitch, was a member of the family until he passed at age 16½. He largely influenced her love for animals. Joining our team in 2013, she hopes to further her experience in the field of animal care.
Elizabeth Guimond, Veterinary Technician
Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with Bachelor’s Degrees in Animal Science and Technology and Marine Biology. Her love of animals started as a young child working and playing on her family’s small farm. She currently has one crazy kitty, tow cows and a fish tank full of tropical fish. When Elizabeth is not working she enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking and camping with her husband and working on her latest sewing projects.
K Gilson
Kimberly Gilson, Veterinary Assistant
Kimberly was born and raised in Maine. After working for the hospitality field for over 15 years, she attended Three Rivers Community College and completed the Vet Assistant Program in Dec 2015. Kimberly started with the company January 2016 as a Kennel Technician. She lives in Norwich with her boyfriend of four years Brian. They share their home with one dog and two cats.

Olivia graduated from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with hopes of continuing on to veterinary school. Olivia brings several years of kennel and veterinary experience. She shares her home with two cats, Eglantine and Zivali, and a three-legged pitbull, Bella.
Amanda is a relative newcomer at Companion Animal Hospital having only started in August of 2016. She has been interested in animals since she was young and started volunteering at rescues and humane societies when she was 15 years old. She took the vet assistant program at QVCC in 2016 and became a kennel technician/ vet assistant that same year. She plans on continuing her education and becoming a certified vet tech in the future. Amanda has a husband Reuben, young daughter Scarlett and two dogs Brutus and Lily that she loves spending time with. When not working she is an avid reader and also enjoys horseback riding and hiking.
